SPORTS

The students are divided into 4 teams (houses) namely Jaguar, Falcon, Tiger and Stallion to develop a total personality, team work and leadership qualities. The school conducts inter-house sports competitions and the rolling shield is awarded at the end of the year to the best house.

Regular games are from 3.10 to 4.00 p.m. on days specified for each class from standard VI upwards under the supervision of qualified physical training instructors. Attendance is compulsory. All track and field events are also encouraged and will culminate in the Annual Sports day event.

Every year, the sports activities begin with a bang where our Correspondent Dr.Umayal Ramanathan pins the badges to Sports secretaries and House captains. House matches are conducted regularly for all the students. The Dr.Alagappa Memorial (inter-school) tournament for Volleyball (boys) and Throw-ball (girls) is conducted annually. A magnificent Rolling Trophy has been instituted for the events. Our sporting students have won laurels in Tennis, Badminton, Athletics, Skating, Swimming, Fencing etc. at the national and international level.

YOGA

Yoga helps children see the beauty and light within themselves, thereby boosting their self-confidence, allowing them to feel more comfortable with their bodies, and helping them to realize who they are. A child who learns yoga, will be developing essential skills for a lifetime of health and wellness in mind, body and spirit.

Medical Check-Up

The school conducts a medical inspection. Follow up action is expected of the parents immediately on receipt of the doctor‘s advice or comments, which are sent to them.

  • Cheif Minister's Trophy

    Cheif Minister's Trophy,- B. Steffin, of Class VIII has won 1st place in Cheif Minister's Trophy, state level Fencing Competition held at Paavai Engineering College, Pachal on 3rd Feb,2017. He won a cash award of Rs 1 Lakh.
